CLASS LKG-II:
There will be no formal exam however the academic session is divided into four evaluations from LKG to UKG & into three evaluations for classes 1st & 2nd. The child will be evaluated as per Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation guidelines laid down by DAV. The evaluations will be done using various tools and techniques not only to assess development but also provide learning skills for the holistic development of the child scholastic and co-scholastic domain.

CLASS III- V:
The academic session is divided in two terms. Each term will have two Formative Assessments and one Summative Assessment. The child will be evaluated as per Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation guidelines laid down by CBSE. The evaluation will be done using various tools and techniques not only to assess development but also provide learning skills for the holistic development of child through scholastic and co-scholastic domain.

CLASS VI-VIII:
The academic session is dividedin two terms. Each term will have two Formative Assessments and one Summative Assessment. The child will be evaluated as per Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation guidelines laid down by CBSE. The FA’s will comprise of pen paper tests, home assignments and project work. Class VIII students are evaluated on the basis of class performance and through a nation wide examination conducted by DAV CAE.

SECONDARY SECTION: IX-X:
The academic session is dividedin two terms. There will be two FAs and one SA in each term. The weightage to each FA will be 10% and SA will be 30% , prescribed by the CBSE. The assessment will be on the basis of Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation in Scholastic areas. The tools used for FAs will comprise of pen paper test & project work. A student needs to score a minimum of D grade in each subject to be promoted to the
next class. The up gradation in the scholastic areas will be on the basis of points obtained in co-scholastic areas as prescribed by the CBSE.

SENIOR SECONDARY SECTION: CLASS XI:
The academic session is divided in three terms. Two Sessional + Annual. The weightage to the sessional terms will be 50% & to the annual also 50%. The final term paper from DAVCAE, will include full syllabus for the year. Each student will need to score at least 33% in theory and 33% in practical exam in Science, Commerce and optional subjects for the promotion to Class XII. The marks allotted for projects in different subjects will be according to CBSE norms.
