Green Day was celebrated by the students of Kindergarten of Dayanand Model Sr Sec School , Dayanand Nagar.Children brought saplings to be planted in the lawn. They were full of enthusiasm and were eager to plant the little saplings with their little hands. Principal Dr SK Gautamji encouraged the tiny tots and explained them the importance of afforestation and also the significance of green colour. Green colour symbolises progress and harmony.

We should protect our green environment by planting more and more trees.They were made to understand and appreciate the role played by planting and tending the plants in preventing global warming, reducing pollution and promoting rainfall.The curiosity to learn and the will to create a change in the environment was clearly seen in the students.These activities help to instil a sense of social responsibility in students.
